Awesome Dan. Very cool!
+1 for another backing track or drum track to have a play with.

Nice sounding bass + the Sansamp sounds really nice. This is your Yammy trb6 a Dan?

Sweet..I think you should cancel the meeting. I don't think we will have enough time otherwise

The poor 5 string Fender has an issue, and no-one I have taken it to can help (and I mean the "go-to guys"....which is scary

). It has a weird pickup blend problem, and I'm very reluctant to replace all the electronics in it.
So yeah, the Yammy is getting a good workout, been used in a few tv shows recently, and another season of singing bee coming up which it'll probably get used for. Mind you, I have a Fender Custom Shop jazz here which is a bit of a groove machine, might use it for a few eps!

That blows. Have you written to fender describing your problem? .
They may have had similar problems with the pre and know whats up with it.
What is the blend problem out of interest

I haven't talked to Fender directly yet, no.
I took the bass in for a service a while back, and the pickup pot needed replacing. It got replaced with the same part, except instead of blending it basically worked as an on/off switch for each pickup. I.E if it was pushed to the bridge side, it would only have the bridge pickup on...and vice versa for the neck side.......wasn't blending at all.
So I sourced another pot (which was apparently the right one for the model of my Jazz), only for it to do the same thing. Everyone is stumped, because its a seemingly straightforward part.....but it just aint working!!!!

That is weird . My first thought is maybe who ever soldered the pot on over heated the pot and fried it...But for it to happen twice is odd..Maybe something got fried on the circuit board the first time it was replaced .
A pot it not a complicated thing so I doubt you are using the wrong one

I won't mention who I took it to initially, but I have full confidence in their abilities.
I guess I haven't been in a position where I "have" to have that bass, so it hasn't kicked my A into G to get it sorted!

No we should not name names

. Why did it need replacing in the first place?
If it was for the same reason , you may just have a faulty circuit board
