DI to FOH and really good on stage foldbacks or in ears for monitoring. Getting more and more common.

Would certainly make for a quick set up and less shite to cart around !!!! :D

Turn up with Bass, plug lead into DI,plug in "in ears", ready, set, go

Yeah, the sound guy doesn't like it. He only lets the guitarist off because DI'd overdrive is absolute hell to the ears.

Lucky me.

Personally, I think that there are cool things to explore effects-wise for bass.
I used to be a tuner only type of bass player. Now I like to explore textures a lot more, and use of space.

My essentials are:
Tuner (pitchblack)
Fuzz (musket
Distortion (mudhoney/rat)
Octave (pog2)
Delay (dmm)
Compressor (?)

Then again I'm trying different things than most, trying to make space and depth in a proggy 3 piece.

Most other stuff I bring a tuner :D

I dont use effects - i have a chorus which i never use - would like to try an octaver and envelope filter and jensen DI but, then again, no.
