Does anyone know what type of pedal the DDD bassist uses? Looking at buying a new distortion pedal and like his sound

Every time I've seen them he has been using a Hotcake, but part of the sound might also be to do with his amp. Unsure if he takes it overseas, but in NZ he always a particular one. It's all tube and I think it's a guitar amp, might be an old Mesa.

He uses a Jazz Bass which I think works really well with a Hotcake.

Great band.

To be fair, most guest bands on TV shows have terrible sound.
