Post by Fenderfan » Tue Sep 25, 2012 5:07 pm

Found out this arvo of not just one, but TWO live venues in Central Auckland that are closing their doors!

Never came across an oppourtunity to play at the Dog's Bollix, but saw many a band play there.....
Khuja however, was host to my first live gig, I was nervous as all hell, but we pulled it off and had a fantastic night. One I'll remember for a while yet.....
Fender MIA Precision, Squier Jazz, Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0, Ashdown ABM 1x15, 2 x DIY Jack 112 now complete!

Had never heard of Khuja, but had been to the 'bollix' a couple of times..... it's a shame when any live music venue has to close

I used to sub for the bass player in the Dogs Bollix band in the late 90s, early 00s, and I played there every Wed night for a while in a band called The Haggard Bros. Shame to see places go down. I remember when the Bollix used to have people queuing down the road to get in.
