Glad to hear you are okay Steve.
As Foal30 said, hope you have some time outs. Working crazy hour on top of everything else has to take it's toll.

Hope we hear from Ryan and Jazz1234 soon.
Are there any other known CHCH folk on here?
Alex Claber used to post here. I texted him and he replied to say he is OK and his house is fine as well.

He and/or his colleagues in his group owned the grand old style picture theatre at New Brighton. His band practiced there. Alex says it is now flattened.
Alex lives in Brighton, UK.

Arghh...Brainfade..you're right.

I had Alex B stored in my cell phone and I don't know why Alex Claber came to mind....age thing I guess.

Anyhow, the right Alex from Christchurch is alive and well, so is his house and when he gets back from 'up north', he's calling in to see me.

Hey Guys,

Good to hear you Christchurch guys are all OK.
I've had a hectic couple of weeks since the earthquake, I've been working at the Christchurch hospital fixing all the broken plant equipment etc but I'm back home in Ashburton now.

Me and my brother have been doing a heap of fundraising/charity gigs for the EQ too. We played in Ashvages on Friday 25th arvo and made $1500, then we went down the road to The Blue Pub in Methven that night and got a heap of players in (thanx Giddy Robbins Trio) and had an awsome night playing, made $1200 there I think.
The funny thing was when we were at the Blue on Friday night the duty manager comes over to us and says "hey guys, Midnight Youth will be in Methven tomorrow and they are keen to play to raise some cash for Chch! only trouble is all their gear, guitars included is on its way to Dunedin!"
So on Saturday me and my bro Adam scramble a heap of guitar amps and guitars and all that stuff and setup stage for them.
I ended up doing sound for them and then we played afterwards. They played a mean as set consisting of alot of covers like Alice in Chains - Man in a Box and Even Flow by Pearl Jam which was quite surprising considering their poppyish radio songs we usually hear
Ended up raising another $1000 bucks I think.

So a busy weekend that one but it was great to be able to do something and raise some money for the peeps of Christchurch.

Another 5.5 huh... not good. Stay strong guys. :(

BTW; If anyone on the North Shore would like to donate a gas heater (no bottles) to a needy person in CH CH, you can drop it off at Windsor Park Baptist Church, Mairangi Bay. This week only though. Also $10 for the freight is being asked for if poss.
I've been looking for a way to offload 2x so this is a perfect opportunity!

Yep, it's starting to wear a bit thin, luckily all the old crap stone buildings had fallen down or were already cordoned off otherwise we would have had more fatalities. The 6.0 was pretty much on par with February, maybe one decent sideways shake less. A few more cracks in the walls at home, but nothing that doesn't have to be fixed up anyway.

I was with Dave Watson last Friday and he was talking about all the damage from the Feb EQ.

So, there's more again ???

Still going! Was lucky enough to not have our gig cancelled tonight... Apparently , the new Dux Live was the only bar open tonight & we were lucky enough to be one of two bands playing there! Decent turnout too despite the shakes!

yeah pretty full on

there was a 6.0 at 3.18PM that literally is 250m in between Tony and Foal's houses
1.21AM another large one, shallow and again centered only 4- 500m away

not much sleep, because there is one waking you up literally every 30 minutes

Steve CK is alright as is Tony
Ryan and 1234 could possibly check in.
