Irv you writing voice reminds me of
"The time for biscuit is now"

foal endorses this.

no tuner mate, I got a pedal and an assortment of battery ones.
I was just trying to get the Party started
talking about tuners can do this

"My Bass doesn't really go out of tune"
you bought a Steinberger John?

Curious to try a Peterson, but always had a Boss TU2 and never had a reason to change.

I have an Ibanez LU20. A solid little brick and not too spendy.

screw what a magazine says, it's all in your own ears IMO.

yeah the TU2 does suck tone, but even on guitar it's not that noticable. for live, no-one (probably not even the player) would notice. in a studio, well, you shouldn't really be running through unnecessary pedals anyway...

me and one guitarist run TU2s, the other axe slinger just got a PB and by all accounts works nicely. i'd probably rather run my TU2 out the back of my Markbass, but it's my on-demand mute since i don't have a footswitch for the MB (yet).

quite a tone sucker that one. same with a lot of boss pedals. but not that many people care. especially in terms of bass players.
we dont have that much high frequencies to get noticeable tone loss do we.

I don't know that is why I am asking the question.

I am the only person in Aotearoa to never have used a TU2

alternately I could have been baiting Timi :D

the Boss Pedals I use cause me no grief...the Limiter is good I reckon...I use it 90% of gigs now..
the others do not cause anything noticeably bad too me either on or idling

Boss BF 2-B is cool... pumping 8's with Flang is xciting jetplane whoosh city
