1mm Dunlops for me.
Check out proper picking technique; you want to be rotating your wrist side to side like you'd be turning a doorknob as opposed to moving your wrist up and down like it's on a hinge, playing closer to the neck than the bridge. I was doing the latter and getting bad cramps as well as playing slowly and inconsistantly. Changing my style helped enormously. Check out the Carol Kaye method to get it happening.

True dat! ;-) Only cause I rarely play with a pick. Has a great sound so I'm pretty sure it's something I'll do more of.
