Hi

Hi all

Ive been hanging around here for a while as non member.

Just getting back into bass after a 7 yr rest from it.

I started in my 1st band when I was 14 playing Country and played pretty much right through until I turned 40 covering a range of music from Country ,Pop, Rock, Blues, both covers and originals in a few different groups, until I sold my gear so I wouldnt be tempted to carry on playing .
I pretty much have had a bass hanging round my neck for most of my adult life.

As usual this was fine for the 1st few years off but lately I have had a hankering to pick it up again.

Just for kicks I have decided to try a 5 string so picked up a cheap 5'er on trademe, just waiting for it to show in the mail.
It is a Traben John Moyer Signature Bass. These are both loved and hated in the US and I loved the look so pulled the trigger, unplayed and untested. Hope its all good LOL

Heres a pic:

I took a look at the wood and the pickups and just had to have it. The guy who sold it says its got a big tight low B and spoke reasonably highly of it, yeah so I went for it.

I'm currently in Blenheim which as far as I know has a pretty non existant music scene, so if youre local and want to hook up for a jam LMK :D

Cheers guys

Happy New Year!

Geoff

Welcome Geoff. I like the finish on that bass to. Hopefully it works out well for ya.
The coffin cases are a bit of a laugh.

The coffin cases are a bit of a laugh but rather long.

I do not fear computers. I fear the lack of them.
