Hi from Waikanae

Post by kiwijetpilot » Sat May 29, 2010 10:49 pm

Hi Folks!

I recently returned from Europe and am currently trying to get our embryonic band underway. Any other members around the Kapiti Coast?

I'm old (51), and normally work as an airline pilot, hence the user name. I have been playing since the '70s. I have played everything from classic rock, through jazz and fusion, CCM, to my current favourite metal and heavier rock styles.

I'm currently looking for a Chapman Stick to try something new...

Looking forward to hanging out with you all!

Welcome Simon
Must be great to be able to check out those overseas music stores.

Hi, I'm down the road in Plimmerton. You'd be suprised - there's plenty of people playing the pubs and clubs round here who are mid 40s to late 50s... seems to be that people a bit younger are stopping playing gigs to look after the kids or something.
