He he ... oh baby... 25 watts would have brought the roof down ;)
Well you've confirmed my suspicions of age!

o yeah 25 BIG watts with everything up full (thats bass treble and volume control) bass and fuzz guitar and mic plugged into her (via triple adapter) (broomstick mic stand) it was enough to give the nieghbours gipp (especially with the quality of playing then) im sure a few of you know the scenario, but that jansen handled years of that sort of hideous punishment.(the triple adapter was home made. :wink:

My rig - Ampeg SVT Pro, Trace Elliot 15" bin, MIJ Jazz bass with SD Quarter Pounders

Pretty keen to replace the cab with an SVT410HLF so I can run at 4ohms without getting too much bigger to move about (so if anyone knows of one for sale for a reasonable price...)

re: Holden Amps,

Went yesterday to The Exploited venue in Chch, and was surprised / pleased to see a Holden head proudly deliver its sound for the three opening bands. Of course, the PA is doing all the difference in setups like that, and it looked all tiny compared to the massive Ampeg stack next to it, but still, these amps rock!

Loving the Holden graphic head dude, nice bass and cab too.
My first bass head was a holden, no where near as good a condition as yours thought - that looks mint.
Would love to hear it, bet you have heaps of fun with that.
cheers

love to put a picture up but I'm at work so I thought i would just list instead;
Practice rig...Jansen 300 (old skool handed down from my uncle) head and 2x15" cab...must be atleast 20 years old but pretty flash for old skool none the less!
Main rig...Ashdown 200 head, Warwick 411 (4x10" with tweeter/attenuator) and Warwick 15" sub cab (can't remember what its called?!) The head seems a bit measly for the rig but I'm not rich enough at present to up grade and the Ashdown has served me well for years.
I practise mainly with a 4 string Acoustic Takamine and a Black 5 sting Ibanez ATK that has been de-fretted at home.
I gig with my baby...brand new black 5 string Musicman Stingray (aptly named "phoebe" after one of the rays I work with...LONG STORY!) and my 5 string Warwick Corvette FNA (which I believe is not made anymore?)

Should probably take some photos at some stage? Check out my bands webpage for some live shots. :twisted:

Fair enough... if you like then choice! ;-)
Have you tried a real Stingray? the OLP's I played felt nothing like the real thing.
