Love the Bass!

Post by Fenderfan » Thu Jan 20, 2011 10:18 pm

:D Just came in from our latest jam / practice, the first as a band for the year. Been playing at home over the break, but its bloody great to be back and playing in the band situation again! To be playing hard out full noise(not quite) for a good solid number of hours, its great fun. Just a random thread cos I enjoy playing so much and just on a bass high! :P

Nothing wrong with bass lovin,Im loving it too.
This weekend will be a highlight in the gig calender,on sat we are doing the Blues,Brews and BBQs along with a few other acts.Cant wait to meet up with the Dukes as I just dig the bass playing on their tunes.
And aint nothing like pumping out sounds through a huge front house :)

I see there is a nice big Mesa 810 cab to use, will take both amps and decide on the day.

+1

For some reason I love playing the bass in general, but I only like playing guitar at home. Go figure.

Played at home for a good three or four hours yesterday, and gave myself blisters. Yep I still love it! Bring it on!

we recorded 8 tracks for an album the weekend before last. quite a monumental weekend, a serious amount of amplifier abuse, and sore as hell fingers at the end. but every minute was fun, i tell ya.

i don't know why i was surprised my strings were dead as a dead thing come the gig the Thursday afterwards...and for some odd reason we all played the gig like monkeys at times...but it was all good, and most importantly, funnnnnn :D

plus volume. masses of volume in your face. pure rumble in your guts. standing near the FOH subs and just feeling the whole stage shake and dance.
