I shared an Eden 300watt head and a 2x10" box with an upright player at a gig last night.
He used vastly different settings to what I used for my electric bass.
Very interesting! 8)

Can you expand on the settings?

I was running everything flat except for bass raised to 1 o'clock.
But here's very roughly what I think he was running.
Bass 3 o'clock
low mids 9 O'clock
mid mids 2 o'clock
high mids 12 o'clock
Treble 7 o'clock (turned right down)

I can see that, I take it he was using a Piezo , Which are quite sensitive in the highs

Really? weird sort of setting, i usually have to take the mids and above down with my piezo otherwise there's way too much noice and not enough note??

with electric bass, i have my eq generally flat with slight mid scoop + treble and bass boost

on the same amp, for upright bass, i have my bass cut half way, treble boost half way, mid cut fully.
it sounds horrible on the same settings as my bass guitar, and usually itll feedback like mad
