Re: Learning a 'difficult / tricky' song

You could always watch a clip of Flea playing the song live or try find a good tutorial on youtube on how to play the song - you can sometimes find out about tricks that make the song easier to play and how to get the groove right.

Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!

Lovely basses you have there. Everything Leo Fender touched/designed was magic including the P-bass, J-bass and the Stingrays. The G&L L2000s were great basses also but less common but equally as great as his other creations in my humble opinion. Liked your youtube clip you shared. Good luck with th...

Re: What's hot on Trademe right now!

Yeah noticed that too. Looks like the two highest/main bidders asked to have their bids removed. Totally agree that the headstock repair should have been disclosed from the beginning of the auction. Seemed like that guitar was not much more than a broken/repaired 63 strat neck with a non-original bo...

Re: What's hot on Trademe right now!

L-series Fender Jazz http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=900831756. Obviously had some work/mods done to it - refinish, chisel work on the body near the neck pocket + work done on the neck pocket itself and work done on the pickguard so far that i can see. Will be interesting to see how ...

Re: What's hot on Trademe right now!

This isnt a bass but it is on Trademe and is def 'hot' - a guitar that appears to be 63 Fender Strat with $1 reserve http://www.trademe.co.nz/music-instruments/instruments/guitar-bass/electric-guitars/auction-900434749.htm So far i have noticed that the body appears to be a re-finish. Re: Where can I buy nitrocellulose lacquer in NZ?

I would try contacting a luthier and asking them where to get it. I also done a quick google search and found http://www.timberlywoodturning.co.nz/pr ... 30%25.html Never heard of the company Timberly Woodturning before though but appear to be an NZ based company

Re: BPNZ User Youtube Thread!

Not exactly a Youtube clip of any sorts, but this is a clip that i made/recorded a little while ago. I had recently got a copy of Ableton and was figuring out how to record through a audio interface + how to use SoundCloud to post music. I have done proper/much better quality recordings since then, ...
