Re: What's hot on Trademe right now!

The bass looks cool. Never played a bass with a multiscale neck. I have heard they are great once you get use to it. GLWTS :) Just a headsup it is my Dingwall fiver on TradeMe. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1112473811 Great bass, as new, plays like a dream and sounds the same. Just...

Re: What's your rig?

Pics, dont forget the pics :) My rig is Ashdown 300CMT All Tube Head Ashdown ABM 1510H Cab Far and away the 'best' set up I have owned. Works well with all my Basses and for whatever reason let's all of my pedal board speak out better than I'm used to. I will get a 'little' amp for small gigs, maybe...

This is also pretty tempting - http://www.trademe.co.nz/music-instruments/instruments/guitar-bass/bass-amps/auction-1092885674.htm . A UK made Ashdown rig with some wear and tear but i bet it still sounds great. Familiar sounding seller/username i think too lol :). Anyways, very good/fair starting p...

Re: Barefaced.

I have heard great things about these cabs. Pity there is no way of trying one out down here in Dunedin. I know that feeling when 'GAS' flares up, i have a chronic issue with it :) The Barefaced Four 10 is amazing. Easy to lift and move, small form, but huge tone and character. Sits in the mix beaut...

Re: New to the bass

Hey there and welcome :) With regards to the 'best method' to learn bass, there are no best methods it is just what method works best for you. For a start, it depends on what learning style you have - kinesthetic, visual, auditory, reading/writing learning styles. I learn best by watching and doing ...

Re: Show us your Bass!

My Peavey T40 arrived today. It is a tone machine. It is a bit heavy though, especially because the body is made from heavy Ash wood. Anyways here are pictures of it: The bass is in pretty good condition and came with its original hardcase peavey bass 1.jpg The on board electronics allow great tonal...

Re: Finger Streaching:- One finger per fret

Practice, practice and practice. There can be many reasons why you have got this issue. It would be difficult to know exactly why you are having this issue without actually visually assessing your playing. It might be simply due to instrument playing position or your technique. But yet again not eno...
