Re: What's hot on Trademe right now!

I played on a Coronado I (single pickup model) when I was a kid - it was my neighbour's. I loved it. He hated it and offered to sell it to me one summer but I decided on a spending my whole summer's wages on a Jazz bass. Never played an original Coronado II, but have played a couple of the new Moder...

Insurance

Hi all,

Just wondering what the best way of insuring my gear is.
Does it come under general contents insurance? Should I specify each item?
Who do you guys use?

Re: What's hot on Trademe right now!

It's a 50's Framus made in Germany. Framus became Warwick. They were pretty bad, clunky things with lots of thud. Max Merritt and the Meteors in Christchurch used one in the late 50s or very early 60s. They are currently being re-issued, I believe. I wouldn't want to pay more than the start for it....

Here's my lovely bunch of squawk boxes.

Just need to add a Line 6 G30 or G50 and maybe a fuzz box.

Re: What's your rig?

Wow,you have lots of cool gear 8) That Marshall rig sounds killer !!...and nice that you still have lots of your gear from days gone by. You will need to get a "family photo" when it's all in one place.....now that would be cool, then link them all up and nuke the neighbourhood  But,but, but !!!...

Mine depends on which hemisphere I'm in (for now)   Back home (but soon to be in transit) there's: A Marshall VBA400 and 2x VBC412's rig from the glory days of festivals, big outdoor shows and when I was just trying to keep up with two guitarists who had full-stacks  What a rig ...

Re: BASS / AMP PICTURE THREAD :: Get your cameras ready!

Here's my Kiwi lot Collection.jpg Collection2.jpg Been on the go since my arrival on these fine shores in late 2010 Missing my are my pimped 51 RI Precision and an updated pic of the Dean Cabbie, which now has a set of chrome Gretsch blacktops instead of those nasty stock lumps of black plastic (act...

Re: What if...

Tough call.
Of my 9 here in NZ, my decision would come down to my 77 Precision or my 2011 Jazz
Lucky for me, my collection hasn't arrived from overseas yet or the choice would be far tougher to make...

Re: Anyone G.A.S free?

I was totally GAS free after modding my Dean Stylist Cabbie with Gretsch Blacktop Filtertrons but of course I am back to my old ways- coveting a few choice items. Still really want an old-school fender Bassman 135 with pyramid quad or a TV Combo (210 or 115). I would also settle for a new Ampeg Port...

Re: Can't decide on a new amp

I would wait and order the new 2014 Fender Rumble 200 or 500 Easily the best value for money amp of the year. It's all of the Genz Benz remains that Fender have repackaged since gutting the company! Way, way lighter, louder and with far more features including the only real flaw that held back origi...

Re: Buying Basses in NZ

Hello there! I've been in NZ for 4 years now and having come from Ireland I can sympathise with you in terms of price! It's crazy expensive by comparison. Even secondhand, there is a considerable difference. I put it down to how far away NZ is from everything and how little there is in terms of supp...

Re: NBD - Warwick Triumph

That looks stunning!

Always wanted to try a Triumph. My mate had one of the first ones in Blue oil-stain but he never used it and sold it on before I got a chance to have a go!

How does it sound?
