Re: Blisters.

I've read that some people use super glue on their fingertips if their fingers are soft to stop getting blisters. I'm sure that goes against the manufacturers instructions! Yeah I heard that old school rugby players used to glue up wounds when they got sent to the blood bin. My fingers are in no wa...

Re: Blisters.

I have always used a pick when I have got them . I don't know if there is a quick fix Yeah that was my last resort. I dont mind playing with a pick, I just fell that I get into it more playing fingerstyle. Next time I get them I will do what I done today. Squeeze all the blood and whatnot out and p...

So Ive gotten in the habit of turning my amp down and playing hard. I developed a few nasty blood blisters on my right hand fingers yesterday, and it hurt like...

Re: Why the intricate stuff with the Left hand?

Don't forget the right hand does all the timing/rhythm. Thats fairly important. I dont think it would really matter which way you learned in the end. I would not suggest teaching kids "lefthanded", simply because there are less instruments available for them. Stick with what we have always done. "If...

Saw this. Could be a sweet rig. Not hugely powerful, but no doubt still loud enough for most people. Good price. I wonder what the reserve is.

Re: if someone asks you to play them a song on the bass

We should offer a prize to anyone who video's themselves playing an embarrassing song (of our choice) in public. Over and over until someone gives them money... Haha.

*Goes to itunes to search for suitable song*

Re: Tabs

O.k yeah i do know what you mean. I have a large stash of guitar pro files (about 40,000 songs) that are about 95% correct. I dont really use tab sites. Ive never had a song I wanted to learn (except for nz music or stuff published in the last 5 years) that i dont have tabs for. Bassmaster.net is my...

Re: Newb needs a practise amp

Ok, I have the benefit of a little time up my sleeve. I have decided to buy new and am looking at the below modeils. Had no experience with any of these particular amps,if I had to pick it would be the bottom warrwick. Can I ask why you want to buy new? Honestly I see no real reason. You have to be...
