Newish strings, does anybody know how to stop the scratchy sound when sliding your fingers up and down the strings can it be fixed or is it more to do with the type of strings and thier construction

:D I have a warwick double buck 5 string, its great!! dont listen to all the bullshit about them being no good, go to your local dealer for warwicks and play one for more than 5 mins, they are a bit different feeling for a start but once youre used to them theyre as good as any other high end bass, ...

:roll: Me again, it does sound like its a nz wide problem, I have a mate who is the drummer for 'citizen frank' a well known cover band in chch, he says that he is overwhealmed at the number of musicians he meets at thier gigs, so they're out there. I have had about six replies in the last four week...
