Re: Humping gear with back problems - any solutions?

Post Abdo surgery is the time for your band members to show you just the kind of mates they are. I wouldnt recommend even attempting any sort of lifing even with the tri-truck unfortunately esp if the OP is a maj one you really want that incision to heal up properly otherwise you'll set yourself up ...

Re: Get your cameras ready! Picture thread.

Its pretty loud. Seems the website/manual and the back of my amp dont add up but says 600W @ 4Ohms on the back. I was sure its 400 @ 8Ohms. Either way its got good balls and its easily loud enough for what I need. I was going to go for the Little Mark 250 and a 4x10 but I like the sound I get from t...

Re: Markbass Amps

I have also just got myself a Markbass amp - the CMD 102P - a 2x10 combo. After spending most of the day playing with my new toy I am very pleased with my choice. Its light, easily portable and it has BALLS. I tried the Little Mark 250 with a 2x10 and the 4x10 and while they were also very nice I li...

Re: Get your cameras ready! Picture thread.

The new set up:

Markbass CMD 102P
USA Fender Precision Bass Special

Also have a behringer v-amp rackmount for effects but prob will get rid of it soon, am liking my 'pure' sound too much at the moment!

Re: What's your Bass(es)?

I just invested in a USA Fender P-bass special, now I might be worthy of some lessons from Dan!

Will chuck up some pics when I can. I loves it, has such a mint neck and PJ pickups give nice variety of sound.

Re: YouTube

Has anyone seen the guy "MarloweDK" on youtube?

He does a whole lot of 70s funk playalongs and various other things including instruction vids. Pretty awesome player, and a mean collection of instruments!

Re: aria/aria pro 2

Yeah I'd agree with that. Now theres alot of el cheapo arias on the market in the entry level range that are pretty abysmal from brief inspection.

Re: aria/aria pro 2

I used to have an aria pro 2 avante series 4 string, made about '97. Nice PJ set up passive electronics and a beautiful neck that was smooth to play. I foolishly sold it and now I see them going for higher prices than when I passed it off! I'd recommend them anyday, though they're not in the class o...

Re: What's your rig?

I've got a pretty old school rig. Holden Graphic 200 head with a rockit 1x15 cab. Thinking of extending it with a 2 or 4x10 but am poor at the moment! I really like the sound though and am happy at the moment to trade off the fact that it doesnt have an fx loop or some of the flashy wizbang the new ...
