Re: What's your rig?

Wow  That is a wall of GK goodness! The two speaker covers on the 4x12 make it look like two cabs, but I guess that isn't the case. Yeah looks that way huh.... not sure why they did that. I've used the quad for a half dozen gigs now and it's great sound and volume wise. Considerably easier t...

Re: New 'bass' day - NS designs cello

That's a pretty serious challenge... sounds like you're well on your way.
It's nice looking and I'm sure the fret markers make it a lot easier to adjust to.
Have you played it in public yet?

Re: New 'bass' day - NS designs cello

Me neither... Looks like fun Nev.
I've never spent any real time on an upright let alone one of those.
Would love to try one. How are you finding it Nev?

Re: What's your rig?

I don't change my gear very often but when this near new GK Neo412 cab came up for sale I had to pull the trigger. I still love my old school GK heads so this gives more headroom for those louder / outdoor gigs. It has the same sound as my neo 112 cabs but fuller, punchier and louder. My biggest con...

Re: KP Electronics - Auckland

That is indeed sad news... thanks for letting us know. :(
I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with KP and have a great respect for him.
He was a great man and an excellent guitarist known by many.
He will be sorely missed.
Blessings and condolences to the Prictor family.

Re: KP Electronics - Auckland

Hi all. I'm very sad to say Keith (KP) has had some serious health issues in recent times and they have recently come to a head. I'd suggest you call the Rockshop (who used to be the Genz Benz agent). That would be my first stop as they may have spare parts. For those that know KP, I believe that he...

Re: Music software for tablets

That switch looks great Nev... they look to cost around $130 in nz. I went down the MobileSheets route on my Android galaxy tab and it's been great. I had the dbase corrupt once about 8 months ago but as it's easy to backup to Google drive / dropbox restoring is easy. Since then the developer has be...

Re: Playing ampless in small venues

Yeah I hate the sound of amp less gigs too. You can pickup some basic Shure inears for only $200 @ the RS so maybe should just try it. When I use in-ears it's with a digital mixer that allows me to customise my own monitor mix.... and that makes a huge difference. I still use an amp... and often I'l...
