It sounds nice, it's just a bit rigid. Someone who likes stiff picks would be fine. It's probably reasonably durable.

I might try laminating veneers. I could get it much thinner and probably flexible.

Hmm interesting! Maybe something tough and hard like ebony. I've got some american oak here, I might try and make one tomorrow.

I don't think I'll be using my belt sander on it tho somehow :shock:

Beagle has a Cort SJB-3 Acoustic, with flatwounds on it. Awesome guitar, and even with the flats it sits in with my acoustic.

When he finally gets out of bed I'm sure he'll comment :wink:

Something I've always wondered about, is there a limit to speaker size? I got to thinking about that after helping to set up a big 40,000 watt PA at a concert, with all the fancy long throw speakers etc, and I thought it, frankly, sounded *BANNED*. Personally I've always thought the bigger the bette...
