I found them tricky to hold unless you're standing up, but you get used to it. I nearly knocked my teeth o...

Well, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm 99% sure all Fenders, other then the jap ones, are made in Mexico now anyways. The 'US' models are only assembled in California, or at least 50% assembled in the US to make them official. All for parts are made in Mexico. The special custom models are diff...

....Cool man. Love them Steinbergers. I had a XL5 a few years back. Didn't like the string spacing, but the tone was fantastic. Wish I has a 4 string.

Since I mainly play in covers bands I don't need anything too amazing as the bass is always DI'd into the FOH mix. I used to have a stack higher then me, but have recently down sized it to a Hartke 410xl and a (ugh...) Behringer head. The head is ok...ish, but its really hard to find a decent tone. ...

I played a 4 string Lakland bass at MusicOnline the other week - that is very nice. I'm 99.9% sure it was passive, it was very old school retro sounding. Nice to play with great tone (single split humbucker pickup). I think it was around $1800/$1900, and I was certainly thinking seriously about it -...
