Re: VICTOR WOOTEN

I think perhaps that some people hear all the fancy stuff and perhaps get a bit intimidated? To say he isn't very musical is pretty ridiculous.....you ever heard him play a ballad? Or solo over a jazz tune? Well, yes, he's most of time just showing off cuz it's part of the show, he's entertaining p...

Re: How Many Frets?

I wouldn't look down on my last frets. They help me out finding some intense expressions. Expressions like those you can hear on songs like ''you can't hold no groove'' from Victor Wooten- Less frets, less posibilities. Hey, dude, I don't want my children to learn that kind of behavior. Politeness keeps my reputation clean.

Re: VICTOR WOOTEN

Vic has become a strong influence to me, mostly because of his speeches than his grooves. Then he seems to have a reason to play everything he plays, cuz he states that every note he plays means some specific expression that hes trying to communicate to the audience. In this case he's doing ok, no m...

Re: Which bass for a round bottom end tone?

seperation is the key! Nuff said! :D that's nothing but common sense. When you play along with different instruments, you'll need to separate them from each other, so you can hear everyone of them clearly! Think about a piano... you're always playing diffrent pitches on every key, that's why you ca...

Re: How Many Frets?

I guess you play within what you're used to. That's a good point, Sir. I started with a 24 frets Yamaha RBX but when I tried the 20 frets of the Fender Squier... Man, I felt suddenly limitated! I don't know why, but I simply got used to my first experience! Wich I tend to regard as a whole ...
