yes, something will happen.

general idea for next time is to book a venue, set up with drummer + keys and/or guitar and play away.

Mosgiel Maestro always welcome!

Yeah that's a great idea. We talked about doing that up this neck of the woods.

it's the go eh Steve? I guess most of us want to hear inside the live context and nearly all of us still work with real drummers. One of the common BP complaints is 'my sound has dispersed' , or what is mid-range? etc so maybe this sort of thing could help

as long as I get another crack on the Pedulla V I really don't care

I've lost my home sound as soon as I play live
changing my eq seems to = loss of on stage volume etc

I'm just thinking that having a drummer and backing instruments for a 'Bass Day' would just make the whole thing more interesting seeing as playing Bass is generally a 'team sport'

Ah, I see.
It's probably that people don't get that the home tone and live tone can be vastly different, which is probably why Jazz basses vastly outsell P basses; people hearing the both pickups on full tone in the store/bedroom and get confused as to why it doesn't sound the same with other instruments.
P Basses can sound strange at home but live they sound perfect to me, similar thing with Stingrays.
