Hi from the Kapiti Coast.
This is my first post, having just stumbled across the site and joined. I fall in to the "mature student" catagory.
I am currently playing an old Ibanez thru an even older Jansen Amp. I have just bought a new Peavy amp and I am looking to upgrade the guitar sometime soon and will be trawling the forum for advice on what to buy.

Hi,and welcome.

Nothing wrong with "old" gear,we all start somewhere,my first bass was an old "hondo" I think, and my first rig was an ancient Jansen valve head and 15" cab.Worked good enough at the time though. :D

Its a SM49, circa 1972 if I'm reading the serial no. right. It still goes ok.

And thanks for the welcome folks
