Playing covers is essentially giving your original interpretation on a form whereas playing originals is playing a form of whats already been done originally.

Haha! While that is true for most original bands, the few that actually go out there and push some boundaries are the ones that you might be covering in a few years time.

Workmates' anxiety attacks and the way it affects their ability to make decisions that affect me. They really need to have more faith in themselves and their abilities to cope with the unexpected.

Bass is just an escape, work is hard to avoid and keeps coming back.

Let me add the Swedish, the British class system and certain Americans who come across as open but when you test that they clam right up...to the list.

I am so over leads/pedals/basses always needing something fixed and having to pour more money out when I thought everything was all good. I am also over musicians who think they are the shiz, who clearly aren't as good musicians are humble. Lastly, I'm over flatmates getting me sick!

That felt good.

I agree and I agree Chris. Gee that's an early sound check. The time between sound check at on-stage is always a bit of a downer, especially if you haven't gigged in a while and just want to lost in that set.

Yeah that is a real downer.
And some management give you the whole "$800 bucks for 4 hours work with 3 breaks, I;m in the wrong business"
Not taking into consideration the load in, sound check, waiting, usually buying dinner and some drinks, load out. Let alone learning an instrument and the songs

Hi all,

I refuse to play at rugby club gigs anymore. Far too much tostesterone? in one room. They trample your gear, want to play the drums and hog the mic, then get indignant when you tell them to back off. Oh yeah, and douse you and your gear in liberal washes of beer ( I prefer my beer by mouth). Most of my gigs lately have been privates such as 50ths which suit our genre of 70's classic rock and they have been fun.

Now you wouldn't want to take your good gear along to a gig like that huh.
