I recently went on a Bass Workshop mini-tour of the Academies of Music and Sound in the UK. I've made a little video diary and done a blog covering the kind of stuff we covered if anyone's interested;
If nothing more, there's a great quote from Steve Smith about being a musician for life!
I've got a request actually comrade if that is alright
the breakdown or unison line on Stevie Wonder's 'Master Blaster' is this written as triplets or 16's. I reckon I've got the line down but I can't write it out nicely. it's starting to bug me. in the verse ther is the odd triplet I can get that it's just the 'fast' bit
any help appreciated

Cheers for the request man. I'll definitely try and take a look at that in the near future on my site. I love stevie's bass parts - his synth parts are just as brilliant as his bass stuff from Nathan Watts so there's a mountain of great stuff in there for sure.
crikey for a genuine spanking mug of Bass Paul Jackson is genuine. these albums with HH are chockka with hard hitting righteous grooves in the words of Brent Strathdee "Do It"!
and thanks John, any help appreciated. i need to get a scanner then I could email where I'm up to.
